Jumeirah Hotel & Spa Day 2

After a long and hard morning of relaxing by the pool with a grapefruit crush cocktail we decided we'd get some culture and go into the town of Port de Soller.

After lunch, that is.
Deliciously crisp calamari with lemon and aioli,

Paired with some of the best chicken satay I've ever had.

We wandered down to the port from our hotel, which was a quick walk because it was such a steep hill, and wandered around, popping into shops, which were mostly touristy.

But we meandered amongst the boats, picking out which we'd like the most in the warm sun.

We did go for supper, but it was distinctly average.
I'd been craving a seafood platter for ages, but when it arrived it was all grilled, greasy and extremely oily with most of the fish being overdone, which was disappointing.

So to make up for it we went back to the bar to watch the sun set with cocktails, naturally.
Mum went for a cocktail with apple and I went for a caipirinha.

We watched the sun go down and watched the port light up,

By this time we were becoming pretty good friends with the waitress in the bar, after chatting to her each time we went in.
Mother went all SATC on me with a cosmo and I went for my new favourite, a hugo.

A heavenly mixture of cava, fresh mint, elderflower and a squeeze of mint.
I've recreated it several times since!

The photos stopped here because we were definitely starting to feel a little merry!
