Arriving in Port de Sóller

Not long ago mum and I decided to fly to Majorca for a few days for some relaxation and sun.
We travelled to Port de Soller, and arrived at our hotel, Jumeirah Hotel & Spa.

We were told that we had had our room upgraded, which added to how excited we were.
Making the view even better...

Seeing as we had arrived late in the afternoon, we decided to celebrate the arrival with cocktails at the Sunset Lounge Bar, a margarita for her, and a kiwi daiquiri for me.

After cocktails we headed to Es Fanals, the tapas restaurant in the hotel which had stunning views over the side of the cliff and as far as you could see into the sunset.

Where we started with soft shell crab with wasabi mayonnaise,

Salmon tartare, on a bed of avocado yoghurt, my favourite,

Followed by gambas, which is essentially Spanish garlic prawns but with Majorca's special red prawns.

Finally finishing with glazed Turbot and truffle, which was amazing.
The Turbot was cooked excellently and melted in the mouth, and I love truffle so it was always going to be a winner.

We also had grilled peppers with salt, which sounds simple and plain but we wolfed them down so quickly that I didn't even manage to take a photo!

The meal came with the best olive ciabatta, with olive oil on the side so we literally rolled into the marshmallow of the bed, but I managed to snap a picture of the port all lit up and beautiful before I became comatose:
